Federation Trip

May 2 to May 6th 2022

The trip will take us to a beautiful and historic region of the UK taking in the
counties of Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Hampshire. Well known for its marrr
attractions this region will offer an interesting and exciting location for the
Federation’s annual visit.
We will stay in the Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell near Guildford. Our official
guide will be our dear friend, Ian Jelf, who has been with us on two previous
occasions and proved to be an excellent guide on both visits.
Visits will include, Leeds Castle , an impressive building set on islands in a
lake formed by the river Len, near Maidstone. We will visit Canterbury, one of
England’s most venerable cities, tour the Cathedral, and experience a guided
walk of the city with free time to explore.
We will travel to the secluded old city of Winchester, visit its magni.ficent
Cathedral and explore the city with our guide, Ian Jelf. Portsmouth, Britain’s
most foremost naval port will be the next stop. The Docklands area is home to
Nelson’s flagship “Victory” and the salvaged remains of the “Mary Rose”.
Our flna1 day will be a visit to London where we will have a guided tour of
Hampton Court palace, enjoy free time in central London and a panorarnic
coach tour of London with our guide lan.
